Winchcombe U3A Easy Walks Group

We are a sociable group who enjoy a shortish walk in the Cotswold countryside. We aim to walk about 4-6 miles and always have a stop for water/coffee & a snack if needed. We walk once a month – generally on the 3rd Thursday morning.

Most walks include some gain in height – but we always take these at a very gentle pace, with no pressure. We also try to advise if there are many stiles – but usually try to avoid these walks.

Many walks are local, but we also sometimes go further afield – to places such as Stow on the Wold or Northleach. We operate a (voluntary) car sharing system, by gathering in the Winchcombe Library car park. When nearby, we often stop at a café or pub for lunch after the walk.

From 2024, I’m hoping more members will volunteer to lead walks.
