On one of the best sunny evenings in April, the Sunny Evening Walking Group opened the season with an enjoyable and gentle walk in the fields and hills around Prestbury and Southam. Beginning at 6.30pm in gloriously warm sunny weather, 17 of us were able to experience a dry and warm evening walk of just 3 miles. We finished at the Royal Oak in Prestbury just after 8pm, for a very convivial end to a great evening of walking and social activity, where we were lucky enough to witness muntjac deer, microlights, a carpet of bluebells and a glorious sunset. We hope the season continues with such good fortune and with the joyful support of our enthusiastic members.
Here is a selection of photos from the walk, courtesy of Jenny Mackelworth, Mike Kleiber and myself.
